Miacomet is Nantucket’s hidden jewel, a paradise of lush beauty. Sprawling open spaces, glistening beaches, and the serene Miacomet Pond make this place a sight to behold. The pond lies the Miacomet Golf Course, a beloved local attraction and one of the island’s premier courses. Miacomet is also a favorite spot for surfers and those seeking a bit of privacy. Here you can find:

The Miacomet Golf Club is the only public 18-hole course on Nantucket. All year round, its impeccable condition draws in avid golfers, both season-long and vacationers. With a driving range and putting green, it’s a great place for both seasoned pros and newbies to practice their swing before hitting the links. Enjoy golf in this paradise of lush greens and the island’s refreshing sea breeze.

Miacomet Restaurant is located at the golf club and boasts a dining area, a bar, and amazing course views. The Restaurant serves lunch on Wednesday-Sunday and dinner on Thursday-Saturday. You can make reservations and see the menu on their website.

Miacomet Golf Course is neighboured by Smooth Hummocks Coastal Preserve, a Nantucket Land Bank property. This area is full of picturesque walking trails along the island’s south shore. Here, you’ll find a unique assortment of grasslands, rare vegetation, and habitats. This area is a must-see if you’re yearning for a relaxed stroll.

Miacomet Pond is a great spot for kayaking, canoeing, or strolling at sundown. It’s a freshwater pond teeming with different fish species, snapping turtles, sea ducks, swans, and wading birds. It’s also a fabulous option for young children.

Miacomet and Cisco are adjacent neighborhoods with a few common activities. Bartlett’s Farm and Cisco Brewery are two of the most sought-after attractions. On your way to the beach, you can stop for a tasty snack at Bartlett’s. Cisco Brewery is a great spot to wind down after a day at the beach, offering live music, tasty drinks, and food.

For some solitude, you can head to one of the Miacomet Beaches. They’re some of the island’s best-kept secrets. Boasting fun waves, they are perfect for those looking to get away from the crowds.  No facilities or food service are available, so bring what you need. Miacomet Beach is situated at the end of Miacomet Road.

Take a trip to Ladies Beach, at the end of Bartlett Road. Take advantage of the splendid body surfing and boogie boarding during low tide.  Beach access is granted through a footpath in the dunes, and a parking area is nearby. The south shore’s waves and currents are great for strong swimmers and experienced surfers.

Discover the beauty of Miacomet! Enjoy the open, picturesque landscapes and be mesmerized by the area’s tranquility.
